Security

How Clove handles your exchange keys, your screen and your account.

Exchange keys

Clove only accepts read-only keys. When you add one, Clove checks with the exchange that it cannot trade or withdraw, and refuses it if it can.

Keys are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) on Clove’s server and never stored in the app or shown again. You can remove a key at any time; deleting your account removes them too.

Your screen

Clove reads your screen only when you ask. The picture is used for that answer and never stored or logged. By default the Clove window also hides itself from screenshots and screen sharing (Settings → Screen).

No trading, ever

Clove has no way to place, change or close an order. It can open your exchange’s trade page for you; you place the trade there.

Your account

Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is in Settings → Profile. Sessions renew quietly; logging out removes them from the device. No AI or exchange keys are ever stored in the app.

Clove never places trades for you. Nothing on this website or in the app is investment advice.
