Help

How Clove works, in short articles. The same help is inside the app, under your profile.

Getting started

Open Clove, ask your first question, set it up your way.

What Clove is, and what it isn’t

Clove sits at the top of your screen while you trade. Ask it about the market, your chart or your trade and it explains what it sees, where each point comes from, and what would prove it wrong.

Clove never places a trade for you and never moves your money. When you want to act, it opens your exchange with the levels filled in, and you decide there.

Clove can be wrong. Markets are uncertain and nothing it says is investment advice.

Ask your first question

Click the bar to open Clove. Type a question, or pick Summary, Analyze, Trade idea, Evidence or News.

Clove shows the steps it is taking while it works, then a short answer. Every answer lists its sources; open Evidence to see them all.

The mode button picks how Clove works with you. Cowork answers when you ask. Auto also posts short updates when something matters, from market data and news, never by reading your screen. On Pro and Max, Deep look in the + menu makes Clove look further back.

Set Clove up your way

In Settings you choose what Clove may see (Screen), which alerts you get (Notifications), how often it checks in on a trade (Trading) and your rules for risk.

Your rules matter most: how much one trade may risk and a daily limit. Clove checks every trade idea against them and tells you when one breaks them.

Move, hide or pause the bar

Drag the bar by its middle to move it; it remembers the spot on each monitor. The tray icon has Reset position.

Chat opens the chat; Close folds it back into the bar. The eye (Look) reads your screen once and runs Analyze. It only reads when you click it, and it is off when Settings → Screen → Read my screen is off.

Pause monitoring is in the Clove menu (the logo) and the tray (Pause or resume monitoring). It stops Clove watching until you resume; the dot on the logo turns grey.

Keyboard shortcuts

{toggle} shows or hides Clove from any app. Ctrl Shift Enter reads your chart and Ctrl Shift B gives a summary, also from any app.

While Clove is open: Ctrl 1 to Ctrl 5 run Summary, Analyze, Trade idea, Evidence and News. Ctrl N starts a new chat and Ctrl K opens your past chats.

Ctrl U uploads a file or image, Ctrl Shift S captures your screen once, Ctrl / opens the + menu and Ctrl , opens Settings. Esc closes a menu, then the panel.

Reading your chart

What Clove sees on your screen, and when.

How Clove reads your chart

When you ask about your chart, Clove takes one screenshot of the window under the bar, works out the market, the timeframe and the price scale, and then reads the candles.

It only does this when you ask: a button, a shortcut, or a question while the screen chip is on. There is no background capture.

The screenshot is read and thrown away. Clove never stores it. Clove itself is hidden from the capture, and from screen sharing if you leave that setting on.

When Clove can’t read your chart

Clove needs a price chart with a visible price scale. Very small windows, charts covered by other windows or unusual layouts can stop it lining up.

If it isn’t sure what it sees, it says so instead of guessing. Settings → Screen → Test screen reading shows exactly what it captured and read.

Turn screen reading off

Settings → Screen → Read my screen when I ask. With it off, Clove answers from market data only and never captures your screen.

Trades & exchanges

Trade ideas, your exchange, and Clove beside each trade.

What a trade idea is

A trade idea is Clove’s plan for one trade: where to get in, where to get out if it goes wrong, where to take profit, and the reasons for and against.

It is sized to your rules and checked against them before you see it. It is a suggestion, not advice, and it can be wrong.

Open on Binance, then “I bought”

“Open on Binance with these levels” (or Bybit) opens the exchange’s trade page in your browser. Each level has Copy so you can paste it in. You place the order yourself.

Tap “I bought” when you have, and Clove follows that trade: it checks in at the interval you chose and tells you when something matters.

Link an exchange, read-only

Settings → Accounts. On your exchange, make an API key with only Read turned on and paste it in. Clove checks it with the exchange and refuses keys that can trade or withdraw.

Keys are stored encrypted on Clove’s servers. You can disconnect at any time, and Clove forgets the key.

Close a trade

When Clove suggests closing, it opens your exchange to do it. Close there, then tap “Done, I closed it”. The trade moves to Closed, under All trades, with its result.

Plan & billing

Plans, usage, payments and invoices.

Plans and what they include

Free lets you try Clove on your own trades. Essential, Pro and Max add trade ideas, more markets and more use; Max adds the most use and priority email support. Desk (1–20 seats) and Firm (5–50) are for teams: one company invoice, house rules and a team overview; Firm adds a risk dashboard, rule alerts and a monthly report.

Prices are shown without VAT; VAT is added at checkout where it applies.

Fair-use limits

Every plan has limits so Clove stays fast for everyone. A question is one message to Clove; Deep look uses more. When you reach a limit, Clove says when more opens.

Desk gives each seat Pro's limits; Firm more than twice that. A team member without a paid plan of their own uses the team's seat.

How usage works

Usage is shown as a percentage of what your plan allows: Free counts by day, paid plans by 5 hours. The second bar is this week. It resets on its own; the time is shown under each bar. At 75% Clove tells you what is left and when it resets.

Deep look looks harder, so it uses more. When you reach the limit Clove says when it resets. On a paid plan you can buy extra credits (€4.99 + VAT, one time) or move to a bigger plan.

Upgrade, downgrade or cancel

Upgrading starts at once; you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrading or cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and you keep your plan until then.

Manage billing opens Stripe, where you change your card, cancel, download invoices or add a billing address and VAT ID. Clove never sees your card number.

A payment failed

Stripe tries again over the next days and you keep your plan meanwhile. Use Update card in Plan & billing to fix it sooner.
