What the website stores
One cookie, clove_signed_in, which only says that this browser is logged in, so account pages can send you to Log in when you are not. It holds no token and no personal data.
In this browser’s local storage: your login (clove.session, removed when you log out), the page to return to after logging in (clove.next, cleared once used) and whether you signed up on this website (clove.signedUpOnWeb).
In this tab’s session storage, only during Continue with Google: a one-time code (clove.pkce) that proves the answer from Google is for this tab. It is gone when the tab closes.
No advertising cookies.
Analytics, only if you accept
The banner asks whether Clove may count visits and downloads. Until you choose Accept, nothing is sent and the analytics code is not even loaded. Decline is remembered in this browser (clove.analytics).
If you accept, PostHog (EU servers, Frankfurt) stores a random visitor id in a first-party cookie and local storage (ph_…). Clove sends the page name and a few fixed events (visit, download, sign-up, plan chosen). No session recordings, no clicks or typed text, and web addresses lose their query part. When you log in, the visitor id is linked to your account id, never your email.
Change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Clove never places trades for you. Nothing on this website or in the app is investment advice.
